C.On.Ven.T.U.S. – Creativity ON – VENtures To Unabandoned Spaces
è un progetto di rigenerazione urbana nei luoghi marginali attraverso l’arte partecipata sostenuto da Creative Living Lab – Edizione 5, promosso dalla Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea del Ministero della Cultura che ne ha riconosicuto il suo valore inserendolo al primo posto in graduatoria nazionale e come unico progetto in Abruzzo.
Si realizza grazie alla Coooperativa di Comunità Oro Rosso, da sempre attiva per dare alimento alle potenzialità del territorio, affiancata da preziosi Partner quali il Comune di Navelli, l’Università degli Studi dell’Aquila, il Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo e la Fondazione Silvio Salvatore Sarra. La Federazione Nazionale Arti in Strada, nel ruolo di mentor, supporta il progetto che si avvale anche delle competenze progettuali del settore Outdoor Arts e Circo di Doc Servizi e della direzione artistica del TeatroVagante.
C.On.Ven.T.U.S. si sviluppa in 12 mesi portando al centro dell’attenzione la piccola frazione di Navelli, Civitaretenga e il suo prezioso ex Convento di Sant’Antonio, ora Ostello sul Tratturo, e prevede un fitto programma di eventi: laboratori di teatro di comunità, residenze artistiche, giornate di studio, la realizzazione di un’installazione di arte contemporanea, un viaggio d’arte aperto a partecipanti da tutta Italia e un grande evento finale il 20 luglio 2024.

Urban regeneration project through participatory art in Civitaretenga

C.On.Ven.T.U.S. – Creativity ON – VENtures To Unabandoned Spaces is an urban regeneration project through participatory art focusing on marginalized areas. It is supported by the ‘Creative Living Lab – Edizione 5’, a project promoted by the General Directorate of Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, which acknowledged its value. It was ranked first at a national level and is the only one representing the Abruzzo Region. It is implemented by the Cooperative ‘Oro Rosso’, which has been always active in boosting the potentialities of local areas. For this project the Cooperative has worked with crucial partners such as the Town of Navelli, University of L’Aquila, ‘Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo’, and the ‘Silvio Salvatore Sarra’ Foundation. The ‘Federazione Nazionale Arti in Strada’, Italian federation of street artists, has provided mentorship and support, while the Outdoor Arts and Circus department of ‘Rete Doc’ services have contributed to its planning and the TeatroVagante has curated the artistic direction. The C.On.Ven.T.U.S. project spans a period of 12 months and brings under the spotlight the hamlet of Navelli-Civitaretenga and its magnificent former convent of St Antony, which is now a hostel called ‘Ostello sul Tratturo’. It offers a rich programme of events, such as community theatre workshops, artistic residencies, study days, and a contemporary art installation. It will be an artistic journey open to participants coming from all over Italy with a main conclusive event in July 2024.
